The members of Cheyenne Firefighters Local 279 are the paid professionals of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Cheyenne is the capitol city and is located in the Southeast corner of the state. The Cheyenne Firefighters are a distinguished group of individuals who's job is to provide fire protection, basic rescue, advanced technical rescue, HazMat, and public education to the citizens of Cheyenne. Our service goes beyond our on-duty assignments, in that we help members of our community who need assistance after experiencing a loss through fire or natural disaster, through our various charities.
